Two aspects, one day
Suite N°1 has a balcony facing south and a terrace facing east. That is not a line in a brochure, it is how the day divides: the east side takes the first light on the Madloch, the south side the hours when the sun stands high. Early risers and long evening sitters do not have to agree on one side of the suite.
646 sq ft for two people, with two outdoor spaces: at no point do you have to choose between inside and out. The view runs across the Madloch, the Omesberg and the Rüfikopf, and nothing stands in front of you.
Reclaimed wood, loden and a freestanding bath
Inside, the suite is deliberately spare. Walls of reclaimed wood, a headboard in loden fabric, and in the spa bathroom a freestanding bathtub with a mountain view. Not much else stands in the room, and that is the intention: space to do nothing.
The fireplace is electric and set against natural stone cladding. Only Suite N°4 and the Exclusive Penthouse N°6 have a real wood-burning fireplace; a fireplace of some kind belongs to each of the six suites. Underfloor heating runs through the whole suite, as it does throughout the house.
The sauna belongs to this suite alone
The Finnish sauna with its panoramic window belongs to Suite N°1 and to no other. No time slot, no waiting list, no shared wellness area. If what you want after a day in the cold is the heat first and a glass afterwards, you need not leave the suite for either: the wine cooler and the minibar are here, as they are in every one of the six suites.
A week for two
Over five to seven nights, what counts most is what you do not have to arrange. The valley station of the Zuger Bergbahn is about a two minute walk from the house, and from there the lifts run into the Ski Arlberg area with 305 km of slopes. The ski rooms in the house are heated and ventilated and have boot warmers.
The restaurant is in the same building and is open Monday to Saturday; Sunday is a rest day, and no dinner is served in the house on that day. Half board can be added to your stay, with that Sunday as the exception.
One space in the underground garage belongs to each suite. Additional spaces can be booked for a fee, subject to availability. There are charging points for electric cars in the garage, and dogs are welcome. If you are travelling as four or more, Suites N°3 to N°6 are the ones built for it.
